Supporting Windows Hosts
A few in the discord community wish to have PatchMon look at windows hosts and obtain their patch statuses as well.
Something I did think of but wanted to build a solution around Linux first.
Once that's done right, then I'll start to build the Windows agent to work with the app.

This has now been completed for V2.0.0
I would really love to see this. At minimum for OS level (Windows Updates) but moreover we could take a look at how tools like UniGetUI use several underlying Windows package managers like winget, scoop, chocolatey to get installed packages and their update status.
The idea is that, through Winget, it will also update third-party software.
That is what the publication is about.

Would be good to have both linux and windows hosts in one platform for monitoring their statuses and manage them.
I'll try compiling a list of tools, ideas and work together to research it as well.

·11 months agoI see , So if patchMon can help with visibiltiy and seeing script exection and feeding that data into a dashboard, it will be useful for your organisation?

With Winget, I think you can also update third-party software like Chrome.
I was in charge of downloading and installing the updates from the agent, today there is Winget and pswindowsupdate
·11 months agoI can do windows, It's just that depends if others want it also.
WSUS is more that the server downloads the updates locally, and then the wsus server pushes out the files to windows machines.
What features would you want to see in Windows Patch Monitoring and Management?
Any chances of getting patching to work with Windows as well?
