Feature request: Support Freebsd to monitor appliance such as pfSense, OPNsense etc

freeBSD support has been added recently, though pfsense and opnsense isn't supported just yet.

This is exactly the direction we want to head towards, even to the extent of monitoring updates for websites like wordpress.

I have good experience with pfsense and synology and it all needs planning out as well as investigating.

We do need a discussion around this topic and then go from there.

Right now in the 1.3.x versions its about expanding operating system support so Alpine I’m working on (apk) for the 1.3.4 release and some other little features

Once that’s solid we can easily look into other things, even device firmware updates detected on a unifi controller 🙂

Soon we will have this either baked into PatchMon or create something for *Sense systems similar to PatchMon.

In the meantime, I do think it's a good idea to monitor updates of the pf/opensense through PatchMon though.

I'm keeping this open.
