[Feature]: Enable Patching for Alpine Package-Manager apk
What is the installation method of your PatchMon server?
Proxmox-community script
What is the version of your PatchMon server?
2.0.2
Briefly describe the feature
Add support to run patching on apk
Detailed description
Currently its not possible to run patches from PatchMon on Alpine. If you try to run a patch it will abort with an error: package manager "apk" not supported for patching
Please enable the new patching feature from PatchMon also for apk, as this feature is amazing.
Why is this useful?
As already implemented for other package-managers, is a greate way to make sure that the monitored hosts stay up to date.

That would be so awesome to have!
Same problem here 😓
It definitely doesn't work with the current version 2.0.2 to Patch any Alpine Host. It's always the same warning.

Yes, same problem for me, just tried it again:
package manager "apk" not supported for patching (apt, dnf, yum, pkg, pacman required)

Was a previously existing feature that was removed at some point? v1.3.4 claims it shipped with 'better apk support for Alpine OS' https://github.com/PatchMon/PatchMon/releases/tag/v1.3.4
Someone told me they believe this used to work. It's frustrating as a lot of Proxmox community scripts use Alpine. PatchMon knows when they need updating, it just can't seem to action it (fails).

I created an PR for this: https://github.com/PatchMon/PatchMon/pull/863
Tested on my local alpine machine and works flawlessly for me.
Edit: Published the testing binaries on my fork. https://github.com/tekook/PatchMon/releases/tag/pre-release-2.0.2-apk-support if anyone would like to test as well.
Edit2: Updated the PR to include the backend changes for resolving the updated apk packages for alpine as well.
The release has some info about how to do the testing.
