Bugs stay on GitHub for a practical reason. They are closed by the pull request that fixes them, and that only works against a live GitHub issue.

Bug Report is the only issue template, so anything else you pick from the "New issue" screen points you to the right place before you start writing.

The two boards

Feature Requests. Every idea from the community. Anyone can post, anyone can vote.
Dev Engineering. Work we have committed to ourselves, including the stability programme. You can view and vote here, but you cannot post.

The three roadmaps

Product Features. Accepted community requests.
Stability. Reliability and defect work.
Documentation. Documentation improvements.

A request appears on a roadmap only after we accept it. Before that it is still fully public and votable on the Feedback board. It simply is not sitting in a roadmap lane claiming we are building it.

This portal and GitHub are not connected

Requests here and issues on GitHub are linked by hand, not by an integration. When a request is accepted, a maintainer opens the GitHub issue and comments the link back here.

That matters for one thing in particular: comments do not sync. Comments left here are read by the team, but they do not reach the GitHub issue, and comments there do not appear here. For engineering detail, follow the linked issue.
